Products Description

CAD CAM Casting Dental Wax disc 95mm

Materials and Composition
It is usually made of high-quality wax materials carefully formulated to meet the specific requirements of dental applications. These waxes are a precise blend of natural and synthetic wax components with additives that enhance certain properties. Some waxes contain small amounts of polymers to increase the strength and stability of the wax disc during processing. The composition of the wax disc is designed to ensure that the wax disc can withstand the various mechanical and thermal operations involved in the CAD/CAM milling and casting processes without deforming or losing its integrity.
Sizes and Specifications
It has a diameter of 95 mm, which can be perfectly matched with many standard dental CAD/CAM milling machines and casting equipment. The thickness ranges from 10 mm to 25 mm, depending on the specific application and customer requirements. This size can provide enough material to make a variety of dental restorations, from single crowns to more complex bridges or implant-supported restorations.
Physical Properties
Hardness and Machinability: The wax disc has a suitable hardness of about 45-55 Shore A. This hardness makes it easy to mill with CAD/CAM machine tools. It does not stick to the milling cutter, allowing for precise and smooth cutting operations. Dental technicians can use it to create complex shapes and details with high precision. For example, it can be used to mill very thin parts, with the thinnest parts of dental restorations such as crowns being as low as 0.3 mm thick.
Softening and Melting Point: Its softening point is around 100-105°C, and it can be easily softened using standard heating methods in dental laboratories. The melting point is typically around 130-140°C.
Density and Stability: Its density is in the range of 0.88 - 0.92 g/cm³, providing a stable and consistent material for dental procedures. This density ensures that the wax disc retains its shape and size during handling and processing, and affects its performance during casting, as it determines how much space the casting material will replace after the wax burns out.
CAD/CAM Compatibility
One of the main features of this dental wax disc is its excellent compatibility with a wide range of CAD/CAM systems. It can be used with milling machines from well-known brands such as Amann Girrbach, Wieland and Zirkonzahn. The material properties and dimensions of the wax discs are standardized to work seamlessly with the software and hardware of these systems. Once the digital design of a dental restoration is entered into the CAD/CAM system, the milling machine can precisely mill the 95 mm wax discs to create an exact wax model that replicates the designed restoration. This compatibility enables dental laboratories to take full advantage of the efficiency and precision offered by digital dentistry, reduce human error, and improve the overall quality of restorations.

CAD CAM Casting Dental Wax disc 95mm description

It reduces the time required to make wax patterns compared to traditional methods, and the milling process is automated and can be completed relatively quickly.
Versatility: It can be used to make a variety of dental restorations, including different types of crowns (ceramic crowns, all-ceramic crowns, etc.), bridges, inlays, onlays, and implant abutments.
