Zotion dental PMMA blocks are made from highly cross-linked polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and can be used for temporary restorations including crowns and bridges. The blocks are available in single-layer, multi-layer and flexible resin options and are compatible with leading CAD/CAM systems such as Wieland, VHF, Roland, Imes-Icore, Zirkonzahn and Amann Girrbach. Diameters are available in 98 mm, 95 mm and AG71 mm and in a variety of colours including A0, A1, B1, Vita 16, Pink and Clear. Used for denture restorations, temporary crowns and sculpted trays as an alternative to dental wax, these PMMA blocks offer numerous benefits. They have excellent biocompatibility, natural tooth colour, superior wear resistance and are manufactured under a high temperature and pressure process to ensure durability. The multi-layer variants offer excellent machinability, stress-free processing to reduce deformation, a high melting point to ensure stability during milling, and anti-static properties for a smooth and efficient workflow. With a hardness of 75-85, a melting point of 240-270°C, a density of 1.19, excellent toughness, good processability, an ash content of 0.029% and a shrinkage of 0.5%, these PMMA blocks ensure precision, durability and efficiency in dental restorative procedures.

Manufacturing process
Industrial prepolymerization
Adopting advanced injection molding or pressing technology, efficient prepolymerization is carried out under strictly controlled temperature and pressure conditions to fully polymerize PMMA resin, ensuring high conversion rate and extremely low residual monomers.
Industrial production makes the blanks uniform and dense in structure, avoiding the pores and unevenness that may occur in traditional manual polymerization, and improving the dimensional stability and mechanical strength of the product.
Standardized production process
After prepolymerization, PMMA blanks will be quality tested according to strict technical parameters (such as density of about 1.17 g/cm³, bending strength of up to 120 MPa, etc.), and each batch of products meets international standards.
Moisture and impurities are strictly controlled during the production process to ensure that the product has low water absorption and good chemical stability, providing an ideal foundation for subsequent CAD/CAM processing.
CAD/CAM adaptability
The PMMA blanks prefabricated by industrialization have extremely high processing accuracy and consistency, and can be directly used for CNC milling of CAD/CAM systems, reducing processing errors and improving the fit and aesthetics of temporary restorations.
Compared to temporary restorations handmade directly on site in the clinic, these industrially prefabricated PMMA blanks are not only more efficient to process, but are also completely free of residual monomers, ensuring no allergic reactions.
