PEEK is biocompatible, making it suitable as an implant material, reducing the risk of allergic reactions in patients who are sensitive to metal alloys such as aluminum. The blocks are available in four colors - Dentine, White, Yellow and Pink - with slightly different properties. Dentine has a density of 1.32 g/cm³, a flexural strength of 163 MPa, a flexural modulus of 4 GPa, and an impact strength of 199 KJ/m². White has a higher density of 1.48 g/cm³, a flexural strength of 152 MPa, a flexural modulus of 5.3 GPa, and an impact strength of 145 KJ/m².
