Products Description

This PEEK disc is used in digital dental milling systems for implant abutments, frameworks, temporary bridges, custom trays, and night guards. It fits long-term temporary and semi-permanent restorations in modern dental labs.
Medical-grade PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is used as the base material. It is a high-performance polymer with stable physical and chemical properties.

Manufacturing Process
1. Raw material preparation
Medical-grade PEEK particles are selected and weighed under controlled conditions. Small amounts of stabilizers may be added to improve thermal and processing stability.
2. Melt extrusion forming
PEEK is melted at high temperature and extruded into flat sheets. Flow rate and temperature are controlled to keep the internal structure uniform.
3. Heat treatment / annealing
The formed sheets undergo heat treatment to release internal stress and improve crystallinity. This improves dimensional stability and mechanical strength.
4. CNC milling (CAD/CAM process)
After annealing, the sheets are cut and milled using CAD/CAM systems into disc shapes. Allowance is adjusted to compensate for processing shrinkage.
5. Surface finishing and inspection
The surface is polished to remove burrs and ensure smoothness. Each disc is checked for size accuracy, mechanical performance, and biocompatibility before packaging.
