Dental Zirconia Disc

Process flow of manufacturing Dental Zirconia Disc

Raw material preparation and mixing
Select high-purity zirconium oxide powder, add yttrium stabilizer and other functional additives in strict proportion, use high-speed mixing or ball milling equipment to achieve uniform dispersion, and form a stable Y-TZP powder system, laying a solid foundation for subsequent processes.

Molding process
The mixed powder is prepared into a shape-stable green body by isostatic pressing or injection molding technology. This step is carried out at low temperature to ensure that the green body has ideal density and dimensional stability.

Drying and degreasing
The green body is dried and degreased in a temperature-controlled environment to completely remove organic binders and prevent pores or other defects during high-temperature sintering.

Pre-sintering treatment
The degreased green body is pre-sintered at a lower temperature to promote the full decomposition of residual organic matter and improve the densification effect and dimensional stability during subsequent sintering.

High-temperature sintering
In a high-temperature furnace, a precise temperature control system is used to sinter according to a strict temperature curve (usually between 1500 and 1600°C). During the entire sintering process, heat is evenly transferred to ensure uniform growth of grains, complete densification, and excellent mechanical strength and stability.

Subsequent processing and quality inspection
The sintered green body needs to undergo post-processing processes such as fine cutting and polishing to achieve the ideal size and surface finish. Each product undergoes multiple tests (such as density, hardness, color uniformity, etc.) to ensure that it meets international dental restoration material standards.
