Dental Orthodontics Flexible Pmma block
Zotion dental PMMA blocks are made from highly cross-linked polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and can be used for temporary restorations including crowns and bridges. The blocks are available in single-layer, multi-layer and flexible resin options and are compatible with leading CAD/CAM systems such as Wieland, VHF, Roland, Imes-Icore, Zirkonzahn and Amann Girrbach. Diameters are available in 98 mm, 95 mm and AG71 mm and in a variety of colours including A0, A1, B1, Vita 16, Pink and Clear. Used for denture restorations, temporary crowns and sculpted trays as an alternative to dental wax, these PMMA blocks offer numerous benefits. They have excellent biocompatibility, natural tooth colour, superior wear resistance and are manufactured under a high temperature and pressure process to ensure durability. The multi-layer variants offer excellent machinability, stress-free processing to reduce deformation, a high melting point to ensure stability during milling, and anti-static properties for a smooth and efficient workflow. With a hardness of 75-85, a melting point of 240-270°C, a density of 1.19, excellent toughness, good processability, an ash content of 0.029% and a shrinkage of 0.5%, these PMMA blocks ensure precision, durability and efficiency in dental restorative procedures.
- Product Introduction
Products Description

Dental Orthodontics Flexible PMMA Block is mainly used to manufacture temporary orthodontic devices, flexible brackets or auxiliary fixing elements. Based on the traditional PMMA resin, this product not only retains the advantages of PMMA's excellent biocompatibility, low water absorption and easy processing through a flexible modification process, but also gives the material better flexibility and impact resistance, meeting the dual needs of comfort and durability in orthodontic clinics.
Raw materials and modification technology
High-purity medical-grade PMMA resin
Selecting high-purity PMMA as the base material ensures the stability and safety of the product in the long-term oral environment, while reducing the risk of residual monomer release and the possibility of allergies.
Flexible modification additives
By introducing a specific proportion of flexible modifiers, the hard and brittle properties of traditional PMMA are improved, so that the product exhibits higher elasticity and impact resistance when subjected to orthodontic correction forces, and enhances adaptability and comfort of use.
Precise coloring system
Adding food-grade colorants, the product has a natural and soft appearance through advanced coloring technology, meeting the aesthetic requirements of orthodontic devices.

Manufacturing process
Raw material premixing and homogenization
Precisely measure high-purity PMMA resin and flexible modified additives, and use high-speed mixing equipment to fully mix to ensure uniform dispersion of components.
At the same time, add appropriate amount of colorant and stabilizer to ensure uniform color and long-term stability of the product.
Industrial polymerization and thermal curing
Using advanced thermal curing technology, the polymerization reaction is carried out under the conditions of controlled temperature (generally controlled at 60-100°C) and pressure, so that the mixed materials are fully cross-linked and polymerized to form a prefabricated blank with no pores and dense structure.
This process not only improves the mechanical strength and dimensional stability of the product, but also reduces the residual monomer content to ensure product safety.
Cutting and post-processing
The large prefabricated blanks after polymerization are cut into standard blocks by CNC (CAD/CAM) system, and surface finishing and polishing are carried out to ensure that the product has high precision and excellent surface quality in subsequent processing.
The physical and mechanical properties of the products are strictly tested, and each batch of products meets the requirements of dental orthodontic applications.
