Making Temporary Crowns And Bridges Dental Pmma Disk

Zotion dental PMMA blocks are made from highly cross-linked polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and can be used for temporary restorations including crowns and bridges. The blocks are available in single-layer, multi-layer and flexible resin options and are compatible with leading CAD/CAM systems such as Wieland, VHF, Roland, Imes-Icore, Zirkonzahn and Amann Girrbach. Diameters are available in 98 mm, 95 mm and AG71 mm and in a variety of colours including A0, A1, B1, Vita 16, Pink and Clear. Used for denture restorations, temporary crowns and sculpted trays as an alternative to dental wax, these PMMA blocks offer numerous benefits. They have excellent biocompatibility, natural tooth colour, superior wear resistance and are manufactured under a high temperature and pressure process to ensure durability. The multi-layer variants offer excellent machinability, stress-free processing to reduce deformation, a high melting point to ensure stability during milling, and anti-static properties for a smooth and efficient workflow. With a hardness of 75-85, a melting point of 240-270°C, a density of 1.19, excellent toughness, good processability, an ash content of 0.029% and a shrinkage of 0.5%, these PMMA blocks ensure precision, durability and efficiency in dental restorative procedures.

Product advantages
Flexibility and impact resistance
It has good elasticity and impact resistance, adapts to the changing mechanical environment during orthodontic correction, and reduces the risk of material breakage caused by excessive local stress.

Biocompatibility and safety
High-purity medical-grade PMMA ensures that the product is non-toxic and non-irritating when used in the mouth for a long time, and reduces residual monomers through strict thermal curing process, providing a safe and reliable use experience.

High precision and easy processing
Industrial prepolymerization and CAD/CAM cutting process ensure that the product size is accurate and the surface is smooth, which is convenient for subsequent processing into various orthodontic devices, improving clinical adaptation effects and patient comfort.

Beauty and customization
The advanced color matching process makes the product look natural and beautiful, and the color can be customized according to the needs of different patients to meet the high aesthetic requirements of orthodontic clinics.

Raw materials and manufacturing process
Raw materials

Medical grade high-purity PMMA resin: The product has extremely high safety and biocompatibility, while reducing the risk of residual monomers and ensuring oral health during temporary restoration.
Multi-layer coloring system: Advanced coloring technology is used to achieve multi-layer color design, providing natural and lasting aesthetic effects for temporary crowns and bridges.
Manufacturing process

Raw material homogenization and mixing: Accurately measure high-purity PMMA resin and colorant, and use high-speed mixing equipment for homogenization to ensure uniform dispersion of materials.
Industrial polymerization and thermal curing: Polymerization is carried out under strictly controlled temperature (generally 60-100°C) and pressure conditions to form sheets with high cross-linking density, while effectively reducing the residual monomer content.
Precision cutting and post-processing: The large block of polymerized material is cut into standard PMMA Disk using a CAD/CAM system, and the surface is polished and finished to ensure the product size is accurate and the surface is smooth.
