1. Raw materials and core features
White High Translucency Zirconia Disc uses high-purity nano zirconium oxide powder (ZrO₂≥99.9%) as the basic material, optimizes the crystal phase structure through yttrium-stabilized tetragonal zirconia (Y-TZP) technology, and combines the rare earth element doping process to significantly improve the balance between light transmittance and mechanical properties.
Key parameters of raw materials:
Purity and grain size: The raw material is medical-grade zirconium oxide powder, the grain size is controlled at 50-100 nm, synthesized by wet chemical method, and the density of the material after sintering is ≥99.8%, reducing the light scattering effect.
Stabilizer ratio: Add 3-5mol% yttrium oxide (Y₂O₃) as a stabilizer to maintain the tetragonal crystal phase structure, flexural strength ≥1200 MPa, fracture toughness ≥6 MPa·m¹/².
Optimization of light transmittance: Introducing trace amounts of rare earth elements such as cerium oxide (CeO₂) or lutetium oxide (Lu₂O₃), regulating the refractive index of the grain boundaries, and achieving a light transmittance of 45-60% (tested at a wavelength of 600 nm), which is close to the optical properties of natural enamel.
2. Production process and technological innovation
Cold isostatic pressing (CIP): Using multi-directional uniform pressurization technology to eliminate pores inside the blank, the initial density reaches 3.2-3.4 g/cm³.
Vacuum sintering process: Vacuum sintering at a high temperature of 1450-1550°C, combined with annealing treatment (1450°C air environment insulation for 20 hours), eliminates oxygen vacancies and carbon impurities, and increases light transmittance by more than 20%.
