Dental Community Bands Together To Give Kids A Smile

Jan 24, 2018|

They say a smile is worth a thousand words.

But what about those who might be afraid to smile because of problems with their teeth?

It's especially tragic when talking about children.

That's where the American Dental Association and an army of dental health professionals come in.

February is Childrens Dental Health Month. It's a time where the dental community bands together nationwide for “Give Kids a Smile, an initiative by the American Dental Association to deliver free dental services to kids across the nation.

Approximately 10,000 dentists, along with 30,000 other dental team members, volunteer for the program.

“Give Kids a Smile” is more than a one-day event. It's an opportunity to educate families about the importance of dental health and to catch and treat existing dental problems in children. Keeping the pearly whites pristine is certainly worth a smile.
